Darksider's Realm

(this is not a place for lazy video game freaks. We Darksiders have been around doing our thing for decades before the mindless couch blobs latched onto the term Darksider)

DARKSIDER In the world of automotive hobbyists a Darksider is one who modifies and or customizes any and all sorts of vehicles. The Darksiders are in a class of their own simply because they endeavor to be different and do things that others would not attempt for a number of reasons mostly being related to a lack of ability and fear of non conformity.

This is a forum for people who think outside the box in everything they do. It doesn’t matter if you are modifying or building from scratch. It doesn’t matter what brand or brands of vehicles or components you are using. It doesn’t matter if you are working on a mini car or a bus.

We will not be asking you for donations or any kind of monetary payments. We will be asking for help in terms moderators and encouraging you to spread the word and add to our membership.

If you have pics of your build or your shop, we want to see them. Find the appropriate category and get those pictures posted. I have also paid for gallery space that is going to waste. You can post directly from your computer to the galleries. Other posting must be from a URL which is snother way to say it is on a site on the web. There are lots of those hosting sites that are free that you can use.

    Later Folks...

As I am sure you can tell, I started this thread a long time ago. My mention of the paid hosting space brought back some unpleasant memories. It's not that I don't appreciate the value of having this board hosted for "FREE" as they like to put it. Of course "FREE" comes with a catch. They get to run their advertising that they get paid for based on the membership count and the traffic on a given board. Because they probably host thousands of these "FREE" boards they probably use one hell of a lot of server space. I would guess that is why they don'twant to provide space for all the pictures which are real space hogs. However, their off to sell space is a real ripoff. I bought some of it twice and it nowhere near amounted to what they claimed. I could not get the amount of picture syorage in the soace they claimed they sold me. I considered it a lesson learned and decided not to do it anymore. There just isn't any reason to do so when you can get tons of free space on host sites like Photobucket. The problem is that it is kind of confusing for people who have not done it and learned all the tricks. In the near future I plan on sending out an all member news letter with what I hope are simple and easy to follow instructions for posting pictures on this board.

Well, it only took me a year to gain the courage to try photobucket. I actually tried once before but gave up too soon.

Yeah, it can be a real pain to learn but believe me, it's easy and becomes almost automatic after you get the hang of it. That is why I want to put together a real easy tutorial and post it.
