1937 ford coupe
I bought this car off the internet last February, some one had already had a Heidts super ride 2 with polished a arms installed,a currie 9 inch 373 posi, four wheel disc, polish wilwood calipers, frame boxed.etc then let it sit outside for 2 years,i have sinced sand blasted it,cleaned up all the parts.cut out a poorly installed bitchin firewall and replaced it with an original 40 firewall, they tried to channel it and butchered the foot pads at the pillars, what a mess it was, lol.Im gona build a 50's hot rod.

Now it's a STICKY...
Hey Man,
I just made your build thread a STICKY which means it will stay at the top with the other build threads.

Re: 1937 ford coupe
It appears that the dash was not welded into the body which makes it a lot easier to work on. The dash's in my thrucks ara an itnregal and welded in part of the body, two of which I have cut out with a plasma cutter to replace them with complete modern dash's for late model vehicles. Which is not something I would do with a car like you have. Looks like you are doing great work and making good progress.

Re: 1937 ford coupe
hey Dave, this is the b pillar where door closes,i have to rebuild and replace the foot pad mount, the last guy hacked it off in a poor attemp to channel the body.I dont suppose i can get you to take a close up of it on your 37? maybe from a couple angles and one with a tape measure running at an upward position so i can count the distance.thanks a bunch, email em to mikejanet97@att.net

Re: 1937 ford coupe
Hey Man,
If I had one I'd be glad to do it. The other '37 on here is not mine. Look at his build thread in this category to find his username and send him a PM or e-mail.
I'm the guy working on the '53 F-100. Of course if you look at my build thread you will see that I have had to deal with a lot of issues worse than this. Dennis Carpenter in NC has a lot of body pieces for these old Fords. You might ne able to get some help there too.

update
i just drop the cash for a Bob Drakes complete floor,i did my homework before spending the 2k on it.Its for 39 and 40 fords, the difference is the stamping in the trunk area, which i dont care anyway because it will be covered, the other difference is the tool tray is much narrower on the 37 so i will cut the tool tray off the new floor and get the 37 tool tray from EMS and graft it in.Will post pics in a few weeks.

WELL YOU ARE DOING ONE HECK OF A JOB! Maybe if I grew two more hands I can get my 1 project done. LOL... I love what your doing and I be checking you out man. Thanks again for your pictures of your projects, It give me great inspiration though my limit vision of my ride will never ever compare to yours, it will give me more incentive to keep building and trying new things. THANK YOU! Ron
