It appears that the dash was not welded into the body which makes it a lot easier to work on. The dash's in my thrucks ara an itnregal and welded in part of the body, two of which I have cut out with a plasma cutter to replace them with complete modern dash's for late model vehicles. Which is not something I would do with a car like you have. Looks like you are doing great work and making good progress.

    Hey Man,
If I had one I'd be glad to do it. The other '37 on here is not mine. Look at his build thread in this category to find his username and send him a PM or e-mail.

I'm the guy working on the '53 F-100. Of course if you look at my build thread you will see that I have had to deal with a lot of issues worse than this. Dennis Carpenter in NC has a lot of body pieces for these old Fords. You might ne able to get some help there too.

    1937 ford coupe Empty update

Post  gasolinejunky Wed Jan 25, 2012 8:06 pm

i just drop the cash for a Bob Drakes complete floor,i did my homework before spending the 2k on it.Its for 39 and 40 fords, the difference is the stamping in the trunk area, which i dont care anyway because it will be covered, the other difference is the tool tray is much narrower on the 37 so i will cut the tool tray off the new floor and get the 37 tool tray from EMS and graft it in.Will post pics in a few weeks.
