Hey people, thought I check you out. I recognize some of you from FTE. Any how, I have a 1951 ford f1 panel truck that I started long time ago, It been slow but eventually I will drive it some day. Its has a Chevy 350/th350,(Yes I know this has been done to death) I reconstructed the frame with a Dodge Dakota, Old Chevy rear end. It is nothing fancy so everything on this project is on a budget. So in other words most all the parts were from doner cars. Looking forward to checking out this site this comming weekend. Ron

    Hi Scrapheap,

Welcome!!! You're just our kind of guy. Sounds like a great project you have going there. Hopefully you can get some pictures and start a build thread in the truck section. Sorry I never thought to put in a panel truck section but you will probably get more response in the pick up section anyway. I love the fact that you are using stuff from donors as opposed to shelling out dollars for the overpriced and often shoddy quality after market and custom parts pedlers. That's basically what were all about here.

If you have any problems posting pictures just ask someone on the forums or PM me.

    Later Man...

    Hey Ron

Nice pics of your panel. You're doing some creative stuff. Like that brake pedal/booster setup etc--cool. Your frame and suspension looks great too. Hope you get it running soon. You mentioned FTE and I think maybe we talked once over there. Hope you make a video for here.

Hi and welcome from a fellow newbie to this forum. I had joined FTE too, and posted a few items, but like the Hokey Ass Message Board, it is so massive, with so many interests, that it is easy to get lost and to lose entire threads as they get buried ten pages within a day. However, they are a good resource for searching if you luck out and put in the exact search phrase. Nice to visit, but wouldnt want to live there.

What pics is Ron talking about? Would enjoy seeing your project, even if you reposted a short summary of your build with some selective pics. Looking forward to seeing what you are creating!

Now you know why I got so confused over at FTE! I posted on that thread of Ron's and never made the connection between the pics over there and the new member posting.

    A clear case of CRS.
