did a lot of research before atempting to install this front end to my truck, it was the chepest way to go!, buy a complete donor car and you got the front suspension, rear end, engine and trans, steering column and wiring harness ect.kinda scarry at first when you got both front frames cut off, then you think to yourself holl s**t what did i just do!!! all i have to say is measure, measure and measure! took a cutting disc and cut both frames, gave myself an extra inch forward so the wheels would be centered in the fenders,c.v frame is a bit wider, cut slots in the c.v frame and cut the frame in an angle, then slid both frames together and tacked it together, did some bracing and started welded, with the frames not being the same width and height made it look mesy, made a pattern out of cardboard, cut a piece of 1/4 inch steel, welded the end of it to the car frame, heated the plate and bent it to somewhat conform to the 2 frames, did the same thing on the inside and then cut a piece for the top and bottom and capped it off nicely, took me 12 hours to do this,as for the front frame, the c.v rails were cut out and i made new ones out of boxed steel, made a template and cut out curves out of steel plating and welded it to the boxed steel, capped off the top and bottom and voila done! spent about 2 hours on the front rails, *(system not allowing me to post pics today, will try later!)*

Not sure what that is all about... Sometimes they are up-grading servers. Maybe that is the problem. I do know that only the galleries will allow uploading from your computer. In the posts the pics hve to be hosted at some online site.

Hope you get the pics up so the folks cansee what you have done.

    Later Man...

As you can see from my avatar, at least you're further ahead than I am.

Sorry that I have replied to all your threads thus far but you have done great work and I have enjoyed looking at the pics. Thanks for the great pics!!

that said, the front frame horns appear to be laid flat out on the ground. Is this an illusion?

As for the paint... just a gloss black or POR15? I am curious. I was looking at blasting my frame before I start then when shes all fabbed, POR it. what did you end up using?
