Darksider's Realm

(this is not a place for lazy video game freaks. We Darksiders have been around doing our thing for decades before the mindless couch blobs latched onto the term Darksider)

DARKSIDER In the world of automotive hobbyists a Darksider is one who modifies and or customizes any and all sorts of vehicles. The Darksiders are in a class of their own simply because they endeavor to be different and do things that others would not attempt for a number of reasons mostly being related to a lack of ability and fear of non conformity.

This is a forum for people who think outside the box in everything they do. It doesn’t matter if you are modifying or building from scratch. It doesn’t matter what brand or brands of vehicles or components you are using. It doesn’t matter if you are working on a mini car or a bus.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm a darksider from central California and proud of that fact. 1956 Ford F-100. TCI Chassis with Mustang II and 9" rear. HO SBC with a Turbo 350 tranny. Shaved doors, wipers, and emblems. Painted and powdercoated bed. 18's and 20's. Saw the info from FTE and felt this would be a great place to come without catching heck because I'm running a Chevy in a Ford.

    Hi Herbie,
Don't be so hard on yourself... The engine is hidden under the hood... Just teasing... I once thought about using a 4WD Subaru drivetrain in one of these old ford trucks, but I got over it.

Seriously, there are a lot of Ford guys here but this place is more about the build than brand loyalty. I admit to being primarily a Ford guy but that has more to do with personal preferences and what I'm used to than brand loyalty perse'.

Welcome and we hope youn will be contributing.

    Later Man...

Welcome herbiehusker! I won't give ya heck on the GM engine, at least yours runs, lol.

And Dave nailed it, at least in my mind, this forum is more about the build process.

Welcome to the site. You're definitely in the right place. My F100 is also chevy powered, but I'm not really brand loyal (well maybe a little), just like building something different. Glad to see you drive and enjoy your truck.
