DARKSIDER In the world of automotive hobbyists a Darksider is one who modifies and or customizes any and all sorts of vehicles. 88 Mustang Gt Empty 88 Mustang Gt

Just got it yesterday. Butt load of work on the engine more than I know right now. But I found otu an odd thing. If a mustang gt is built in Canada it is titled as a cobra. No joke found out from the vin and a carfax. I thought it was a joke but google it. It has none of the performance stuff but, built as a Cobra none the less.

    Hi Don,

I didn't know that about the Mustang. Did the one you got come from Canada?

My son had an '89 GT and it had the ground effects. As matter of fact I think all the GT's had it here.

88 Mustang Gt Empty GT vs LX

The mid 80s Mustangs - GTs had the ground effects and the LXs did not. The Cobras had Cobra specific ground effects.

88 Mustang Gt Empty Mexican Mustangs

Post  Boilermaker Fri Jul 22, 2011 3:10 pm

Mustangs sold in Mexico (1979 to 1986) had the Mustang front bumper/hood with the Capri fenders (front & rear) and the Capri hatch. There is no difference in the doors. It makes for a very interesting car. I would like to see this car with the 1979 Pace Car front bumper and the 1985 bubble back hatch.
