DARKSIDER In the world of automotive hobbyists a Darksider is one who modifies and or customizes any and all sorts of vehicles. The Darksiders are in a class of their own simply because they endeavor to be different and do things that others would not attempt for a number of reasons mostly being related to a lack of ability and fear of non conformity.

This is a forum for people who think outside the box in everything they do. It doesn’t matter if you are modifying or building from scratch. It doesn’t matter what brand or brands of vehicles or components you are using. It doesn’t matter if you are working on a mini car or a bus.

We will not be asking you for donations or any kind of monetary payments. We will be asking for help in terms moderators and encouraging you to spread the word and add to our membership.

    Have you built the wheel shown on the plan cover sheet? I've played on a friends english wheel, but have no real experience. I can't decide if I can afford to give up the real estate in my garage. I'm pressed for space due to dragging in too many tools already. I'll be following along as you post the rest of the info. Who knows maybe I can find a little more room.

    I have been contemplating what to do about getting an English wheel for some time. I have considered buying the one HF has because I don't really do that much. I talked to another guy online that bought one of those and he says it works fine for limited use. I wish steel would come down a little in price. Scrap dropped to nothing so I would think steel would be coming down if they can deplete existing high cost inventories. I will take a look at that link you included.

    Hi Steve,
    You arte quite welcome. Hopefully you will be building your own English Wheel and posting some pictures for us here. I've been thinking of building one too but I haven't decided on size yet.
