Hi Folks,
Nope, I didn't do a typo, there is supposed to be an "s" on the end of Mustangs. I found three of them way out in the sticks stuffed into old sheds and covered with all sorts of junk. They can be bought but I'm not sure what kind of price to offer. I only got a decent look at one of them as the other two need to be uncovered and drug out. The one i saw was a 2DR. sedan and it looked fairly decent. The other two are convertibles. he said one had a power top and the other was manual. Supposedly all three ran when stuffed away. Yeah, I know. we've all heard that one before. They always neglect to mention it was stored or parked 30 years ago. The guy that has these things is 88 years old and he is the typical example of a hoarder. I think he's got everything he ever acquired in his lifetime and that includes all the empty containers the stuff came in.
Anyway, I need to come up with some figure to offer for these cars. I need to get my hands on one of those price books that have prices for all kinds of old vehicles. You know the kind that lists 6 different levels of condition from pristine to parts car. If any of you have one of those things look up these '66 Mustangs and let me know what the price for the worst case condition is. I hate to go spend big bucks for one of those books to see it go out of date in one or two months.
Later Folks...
