This is the place to tell us about your ride if it's a car. Tell us about your plans for it, what you have done so far and what it was to start with, type and year. Even if it's made of more than one vehicle.

Yep, that one is too good to fool with. Just detail it and a really good wax job. I think that if I had I would be looking to sell it to someone who was more into that sort of thing because you could probably make a profit on it. Unfortunately I don't have the garage space for something like that. It would be near criminal to let it be an outside vehicle.

    Later Man...

also , about the delta, i got next to nothing in the car. i traded a 93 chevy conversion van that was worth maybe 600 or 700 dollars. furthermore, the car actually has a little bit of history to it. it is one of the cars that came with a chevy 350 in it, not an olds 350 . apparently, GM only made about 2400 something cars this way, from the research i did. in ' 77 , there was a big ordeal about the cars having chevy motors in them , every body was upset about it thAT bought one, and so GM decided to extend the warranty on any affected delta 88 with a chevy mill. GM also offered to allow trade in's for the affected olds' with the chevy mill for a olds with an olds mill, so long as you paid a premium for the miles you put on the chevymobile. also , it looks to me like some dealers were retrofitting the 77's with olds 350 rocket mills. so from the information i could find, my car is one of about 2400 or so that was made from the factory with a 350/350/4barrel combo. and even more still, its one of a handful that survived the dealer retrofitting. it was ordered from the factory by a minnesota man who requested the car from the factory with optional deluxe front and rear seat belts, optional soft ray tinted window glass, optional floor mats front and rear, optional chrome door edge guard moldings, optional landau padded vinyl top, optional A/C, optional remote control mirrors, optional axle 2.56 gear ratio, optional cruise control, optional ( LM1 code ) 350 V8, optional tilt away steering wheel, optional white wall tires, optional high capacity battery, optional convienience group ( vanity mirror, trunk lamp and underhood lamp) optional ( y 70 ) accent stripes bringing the total for this car to 7,034 dollars in 1977. the base price on this car was 5,362.65 . i also found some interesting history about the ' 77 delta 88 pace cars. apparently due to the target market group being an older crowd, the cars were a hard sell. only a small handful of cars were produced, and the dealers at the time were repainting most of them in ' 77 so they could sell them easier. so if you are a ' 77 delta 88 owner, look carefully at the vin number, if it says w44 on it , you got a valuable car ( one recently sold on barrett-jacksons auction for 22,000 )i know this may not be interesting to some people, as its a land yacht, not a muscle car, but i happen to believe that my delta is a good balance of power and luxury.

this makes me feel pretty good about it too. it books for about 4500 dollars according to NADA. : http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1977&m=1134&d=864&c=12&o=35240~35243&vi=80416&z=43055&da=1
