Darksider's Realm

(this is not a place for lazy video game freaks. We Darksiders have been around doing our thing for decades before the mindless couch blobs latched onto the term Darksider)

DARKSIDER In the world of automotive hobbyists a Darksider is one who modifies and or customizes any and all sorts of vehicles. The Darksiders are in a class of their own simply because they endeavor to be different and do things that others would not attempt for a number of reasons mostly being related to a lack of ability and fear of non conformity.

This is a forum for people who think outside the box in everything they do. It doesn’t matter if you are modifying or building from scratch. It doesn’t matter what brand or brands of vehicles or components you are using. It doesn’t matter if you are working on a mini car or a bus.

We will not be asking you for donations or any kind of monetary payments. We will be asking for help in terms moderators and encouraging you to spread the word and add to our membership.

A message board & forum for automotive builders, fabricators and customizers who think outside the box.

    OK, I got it !!!

    Hi Folks,

The mystery has been solved. It finally occurred to me that by defintion, Rat Rods cannot be defined. In short, there is no definition other than whatever you want it to be. So, whatever it is, it is what you want it to be. Obviously someone thinks it matters, but it doesn't. If it's a hot rod and it looks Ratty, it must be a Rat Rod. Now there is a sub genre' of the Rat Rod known as Rig Rods. Basically, as I have so far been able to research it, a Rig Rod seems to be a truck larger than a pick up truck, such as a flatbed with duals or larger up to a semi tractor, when cut down to some king of a hot rod vehicle, seems to be a Rig Rod. Apparently, Rat Rod purists think all this silly crap matters. Hmmm... Rat Rod Purists, now there's an oxymoron if there ever was one. However, being the diligent administrator I am, I will continue my tireless quest to find someone who cares. NOT !!!
Hey! I got an idea, I'll change the name of the category to UNIQUE MACHINES... Naw, that's way to much trouble. On second thought I'm just going to leave it as it is simply because it draws contriversy. Is that cool or what???

What were we talkin' about ???

    Later Folks...

    Time for admonishment...

Post  Darkside Dave on Tue Sep 13, 2011 9:57 am

OK, I finally figured it out, you have never changed you E-mail address here and that's why you don't get any notices when there is a post in your build thread. If I weren't you neighbor I would not have noticed but I remember you changed it months ago. And I know you have been taking and posting pictures on that God Awful Facebook thing so give it up and get some picturesa posted here. I went into your profile and fixed your e-mail address, but my kindness and generosity ends there, I ain't going to mow your lawn too. So now there are no more excuses and I also know you are not working on you project through the week. So, get those pictures up and update your thread. That's an order soldier.

    Later Man...
