    Hi Seth,

Did you get you engine problem worked out yet?

Haven't seen you for a while.

Yesterday I drove the Scoobygator for the first time about 1000 feet on the road out front. Coludnt do too much because it needs lube in tranny, brake work and the carb is really giving me a fit.

Nice to see another '79 on the road! I cut my teeth on these for several years. Must not be a stock intake then, if you put a 4bbl carb on, but there are little tricks to wake those engines up. have fun!

Havi, its good to see you over here, small world. I'm on the FTE forum and the foxbirds forum too. lol

Its a 2 br. intake, with a Mr. Gasket 2-4br. adapter. and an edlebrock carb I got from my uncle, I personaly dont care for edlebrock, bbut hey, it'll work for now. lol I learned to drive in a 77 F-350 custom with a 400ci. 4 speed. loved that truck, so I went and bought another dentside. lol

Thats exactly why I'm going older, I know how to work on these trucks, In my opinion, their (older trucks) tougher than any new one, and they will still turn a head quicker all camo'd up than a brand new truck with 20'' rims and all the bells and whistles! Gotta love that!

Not to mention, thier easy to fix up and make them look mean!

glad to hear you got it going and solved your problem.

Now you need to find a good aluminum 4V intake and get ridof that restricting adapter. BTW, there are bigger CFM 2V Holley carbs that will feed that engine better than the 4V you have on it.

    Bring it around sometime.
